Faith in the Flakes Assembly

Justin Berk will be visiting our school on Wednesday, March 13th to present a STEM program assembly (FAITH IN THE FLAKES) for our Gunpowder Elementary students grades K-5!  The assembly will take place in our gymnasium (many thanks to Mr. Smith and Mr. Calhoun for sharing their space for this event).  Shirt orders need to be submitted by 2/23! FITF T-shirt Order Form 

The program times are as follows:

Session 1: 9:00am – 10:00am – Grades K, 1, and 5

Session 2: 10:20am – 11:20am – Grades 2, 3, and 4

We are looking for parent volunteers to attend the assemblies and give some planning time back to our amazing teachers.  Volunteers need to have a completed and approved volunteer application by February 29, 2024.   Please sign up on PT Board or the link below:

Save the date for our annual Shamrock Shuffle.

March 13th - 6pm-7:30pm

Come wearing green and have fun with games, music, and prizes.  This event will be free for PTA Members and $5 for Non-PTA Members. No skates will be worn for this event- bring your dancing shoes! Please sign up to volunteer below:

This week at the school store all 2nd graders will receive a coupon for 1 free item!! This was their prize for having the most gift cards donated for our December Holiday Drive!!

Multi-Cultural Night

Multi-Cultural night was a huge success!! Thank you to everyone for sharing their cultural with our school family.  We had over 40 families participate and a lot of visitors! Special thanks to Ms. LaPierre and Favour Onyibe for planning such an amazing event! We can’t wait until next year’s event!  

Bingo Updates

We are working hard to bring this exciting event back to GES.  We have the DJ set and ready to have a great event.  We still need help with planning, volunteers, and donations.  We will be having another virtual BINGO meeting soon- please join us!!  Tickets will be on sale soon!!

PRIZE SPONSORS….WE NEED YOU!!!

There are so many ways to donate to this amazing fundraiser. Each grade has been assigned a theme. You can donate a basket item based off your grades assigned theme, make your own basket, or we are accepting gift card and monetary donations as well. Please ensure your child’s name and grade is listed on any donations. More information to come about donation drop off but please start collecting items.
